Twin Lodges

Your choice

We are able to supply you with any current make and model of lodge of your choice, however we recommend Retreat Lodges based in Wigton, Cumbria and Wessex based in nearby Blandford, for their quality of build and service, and who have been supplying us for 5 years. They have taken the British Standard specification for a residential park home, and added to it within all their construction, assuring you of a much higher quality product.

With Retreat Lodges, all design aspects of the lodge are to your choice from curtains and carpets to bathroom suites and kitchens, with a substantial range of choices for every taste. Click here to see what is currently for sale...

Although we do not currently have any pre-owned lodges for sale, we do have pitches available for new lodges. Click on the map to see current pitch availabililty

Finance

Once the overall costs have been established, an initial deposit of £10,000 is required to initiate the order. This is followed by two stage payments detailed below:

• the balance less £5,000 before delivery to the park
• £5,000 final balance on completion of all works

On Going Costs

Once your twin lodge is established on the park, there will be various annual charges that you will need to incur as follows:

• Insurance - again we are able to offer a competative quote on the structure and contents of your twin lodge through our own broker
• Electricity - this is supplied by the park and is individually metered and invoiced twice a year
• Gas - this is currently supplied by bottle and purchased at the reception
• Pitch Fees - these can be paid quarterly or monthly and include water, rates and VAT at the current rate

Your licence

In having a twin lodge at Merley House Holiday Park you can enjoy the benefit of being offered a 30 year licence agreement as drawn up by the British Holiday & Home Parks Association - of which we are members. Longer licences are negotiable with the park. Please contact us for further details. The length of season you are able to occupy your twin lodge is from the 16th March - 15th February in each year. The licence we have from the local council stipulates that the park must be closed for one month.
