Latest Update – Tuesday 1st December

Hello Everyone,

I know it’s been a while since we did an update but here is the latest news and regulations.

As of tomorrow 2nd December, those that wish may still come back and visit their holiday homes but with the following restrictions for the various tiers. We at the Park are in Tier 2.

Tier 3

In Tier 3, campsites and caravan parks must remain closed. They may not be open, other than to the usual exemptions such that no one is made homeless and if necessary for work, a funeral, house move, medical appointment etc.

However, campsites and caravan parks in Tier 3 may provide accommodation to single households or to ‘Christmas bubbles’ (an exclusive group of up to three households) between 23 to 27 December 2020.

The Christmas guidance confirms, ‘you can stay in private rented accommodation with members of your household, or your Christmas bubble’, whilst the regulations confirm in this context that, ‘“private dwelling” includes accommodation in a campsite or caravan park.

Tier 2

In Tier 2, campsites and caravan parks may open at midnight tonight but must take reasonable steps to ensure that social contact rules are followed.

This includes reminding customers:

  • from Tier 1 and Tier 2 areas, they can only stay ‘with people in your household or support bubble’
  • from Tier 3 areas of the Government’s advice to ‘Avoid traveling outside your area, including for overnight stays …’.

Campsites and caravan parks in Tier 2 may provide accommodation to single households or to ‘Christmas bubbles’ (an exclusive group of up to three households) between 23 to 27 December 2020.

Tier 1

In Tier 1, campsites and caravan parks may open at midnight tonight but must take reasonable steps to ensure that social contact rules are followed.

This includes reminding customers:

  • from Tier 1 areas, the ‘rule of six’ applies to them outdoors and indoors (this limit of six includes children of any age)
  • from Tier 2 areas, they can only stay ‘with people in your household or support bubble’
  • from Tier 3 areas of the Government’s advice to ‘Avoid traveling outside your area, including for overnight stays ….

Campsites and caravan parks in Tier 1 may provide accommodation to single households or to ‘Christmas bubbles’ (an exclusive group of up to three households) between 23 to 27 December 2020.

This means that if you are in Tier 3, do not come to the Park under any circumstances. Those in Tiers 1 and 2 may come and stay with the usual restrictions. If in any doubt ask us first.

Those of you here who have been getting your Christmas lights up will be able to switch them on from tomorrow. Please make sure all precautions are taken with outdoor lighting, including going up ladders.
